International Summer School - 2012: «Russian History: Politics, Culture & Art»
June 14-30, 2012.
Our programme contains
3 blocks of lectures:
Russia at the crossways of the 20th and 21st centuries (modernization, Russian parliamentary history, international policy, Russia-CIS relations, interethnic and interfaith relations. In English and in Russian;
History of Russia's political system and elections (political system of nowadays Russia, historical experience of elections in Russia, evolution of election legislation, Federal elections 2011-2012). In Russian;
History of Russian Art (from icons to forbidden art of Soviet underground artists and contemporary Russian art). In Russian;
master-class:
"Technologies of election processes in the post-soviet states";
3 'round tables':
"The problems of evolution of the political party's system in the post-soviet states";
"Federal elections in the context of contemporary political process in Russia";
"Main tendencies in Russian contemporary art";
Russian language classes of different levels.
In addition to basic courses you will get:
excursions to Moscow places of interests (including Moscow Kremlin, State Historical Museum and the Tretiakov Gallery);
a possibility of visiting the State Duma of the Russian Federation, meeting its members;
participation in discussions, consultations with specialists and experts.
Conditions:
Summer student is to complete a 72-hour course, which includes obligatory classes and your choice disciplines.
Upon the accomplishment of the summer school's programme students receive the certificates of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of History.

Summer students can stay in a dormitory of Lomonosov Moscow State University (the price is about $100 per the summer school period).
The price for all the programme (including all courses and activities) with Russian language classes is $1,700.
Without Russian language classes is $1,400.
